Rowan House, Bonar Bridge

Rowan House is a large, detached home set in a rural part of the Scottish Highlands and is amazing value for the amount of people it can accommodate. Hosting five super-king size doubles, three of which benefit from zip/link beds to be arranged as twins on request, plus two bathrooms, one with roll-top bath, hand-held shower, basin and WC and one with large walk in shower basin and WC. This property can sleep up to ten people. There is also a snug with open-fire, sitting room with open-fire, kitchen, dining room and a utility room.

Outside there is 7-acres of garden and ample off-road parking for five cars. Rowan House is a special retreat for family and friends looking to escape to some of Scotland’s finest natural beauty.

Christmas bookings

There is a big Christmas tree provided, already decorated and other decorations around the house during the Christmas and New Year weeks.

The property will have a Saturday change over in 2024.

1 x super-king-size with en-suite double walk-in shower, basin and WC, 3 x super-king size (zip/link can be twins on request), 1 x super king-size. 1 x bathroom with roll-top bath, hand-held shower, large walk in shower, basin and WC. 1 x bathroom with large walk in shower, basin and WC. 2 x cloakrooms, Kitchen, Utility room, Dining room, Sitting room and Snug.

Summertime is a true delight at this Scottish cottage, with 7 acres of fine gardens and woodland to relish in with a path leading to the forest track with plenty of nice walks to enjoy, plus outdoor furniture, seating and a barbecue to make the most of.

Soak away the day as 8-10 people can relax in the wood-fired hot tub and enjoy watching the flames flicker through the glass panel.

There is plenty of wildlife to see around this large holiday cottage. Red squirrels can be seen on the feeders, otters can be found in the nearby ponds, as well as ospreys, golden eagles and other Scottish wildlife. There is a pair of breeding sea eagles in the vicinity of Rowan House.

The local area is steeped in history, with a wide selection of castles and is perfect for the outdoor enthusiast with several cycling, kayaking, fishing and walking opportunities.

Fishing

For fishing enthusiasts a 5-minute walk takes you to Rowan House’s own stretch of river, where you can enjoy trout and salmon fishing.

A small village resting on the banks of Dornoch Firth in the Scottish Highlands. Bonar Bridge offers a useful range of local amenities and facilities including a café and restaurant.
